Be Careful How You Live

Ephesians 5:15-17 So be very careful how you live. Live wisely, not like fools. I mean that you should use every opportunity you have for doing good, because these are evil times. So don’t be foolish with your lives, but learn what the Lord wants you to do.

We all have but one life to live on this earth, and time’s slipping away day by day. So what are you going to do with your today? What are you going to do with your tomorrow?

We need to be asking ourselves that on a regular basis; deliberately standing back from all the stuff that crowds in on us, claiming our time as though it has a right to, and instead being intentional about our priorities for the time that we have left ; about the sort of life we end up living, the impact we end up having … the legacy we end up leaving behind in the lives of others.

So what are you going to do with your today? What are you going to do with your tomorrow? Hold those thoughts as we let God speak into this space:

Ephesians 5:15-17 So be very careful how you live. Live wisely, not like fools. I mean that you should use every opportunity you have for doing good, because these are evil times. So don’t be foolish with your lives, but learn what the Lord wants you to do.

So what’s God saying here? Be very careful to live wisely. In other words, don’t squander your life on worthless things. That’d be foolish. What a waste. Instead look for every opportunity for doing good in these evil times.

What opportunities do you have before you today, tomorrow, to do good;  to show God’s love to others; to encourage others; to lift them up; to help them … to tell them about Jesus?

Be very careful how you live.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
