Overcoming Financial Stress (4)
1 Timothy 6:9-10 But those who want to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.
Whether you’re rich, poor, or somewhere in between, there always seems to be that temptation to want more. And it’s amazing how adept the marketing machines of this world have become at tapping into our various trigger points for instant gratification.
Yet along the way, to be honest, there have been times when we didn’t know whether we’d be able to keep it going; when the finances didn’t seem to be there to sustain the ministry.
Yet God is a faithful God. Anyone who’s ever been in need and turned to Him for help will know that, in one way or another, often in ways that we don’t expect or with a timing that we can’t appreciate, He shows up to meet our needs.
You have to wonder then why this greed mentality takes over in our psyche sometimes, don’t you? Why do we desire so many things above and beyond what we need, in the face of such a faithful God? Listen up …

Don’t allow the scientifically targeted marketing of this world to lure you into the trap of instant gratification because the financial stress that comes along with that … simply ain’t worth it.
The love of money – this incessant desire for more – is the root of all kinds of evil.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
