Pure Hope
Titus 2:13,14 We should live like that while we are waiting for the coming of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ. He is our great hope, and he will come with glory. He gave himself for us. He died to free us from all evil. He died to make us pure – people who belong only to him and who always want to do good.
So many people have such a bleak outlook on life. You may or may not relate to that right in this moment, but you’ve been there too, as have I. The question is, how do you change that?
Look, you can be living in the lap of luxury and yet still be overcome by a debilitating sense of hopelessness. I’ve been there and it drove me almost to the brink.
So, on a scale from zero to ten, how hopeful, how positive are you about your future? As you ponder that, let me throw this at you to see what you think.
Whether or not we choose to do good day by day, over and above the bad behaviour that we can so easily fall into, how we live our lives is going to have a huge impact on how we feel about our future. What do you think?

It all began to change for me when Jesus reached out to me (out there on that brink) and I responded to Him in faith. But it wasn’t an instant change from zero to ten. It happened progressively as He led me day by day to choose good over evil. That’s a journey I’m still on. How about you?
Friend, rest your hope on Jesus. He died to set you free from all evil. Let Him purify you and lead you into always wanting to do good.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
