The God of All Things

Romans 8:31-32 So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can stand against us. And God is with us. He even let his own Son suffer for us. God gave his Son for all of us. So now with Jesus, God will surely give us all things.

There are going to be times in life when things, people, circumstances, our own stupidity even, come against us; when we just want to curl up in a ball and die. It happens to all of us.

When the going’s good, when life’s easy – happy days! Enjoy it. But let’s get real, those times don’t last forever. Things come along to spoil them. And sure, we can tough them out … until we can’t, until the daily grind grinds you down so far that you don’t have anything left.

It’s been a wondrously humbling revelation for me as the years have slipped by to realise that I can’t handle it all on my own. None of us can. And you know what? That’s a good thing.

Romans 8:31-32 So what should we say about this? If God is for us, no one can stand against us. And God is with us. He even let his own Son suffer for us. God gave his Son for all of us. So now with Jesus, God will surely give us all things.

Let’s get a revelation here. God gave His all for us. Jesus, His Son, suffered and died on that Cross to pay for our sin so that when we believe in Him we can receive the free gift of eternal life.

Having given His all, do you imagine that He won’t be there for you when you’re suffering? That He’ll ignore your cries for help. No!

God gave his Son for you. So now with Jesus, He’ll absolutely give you all things.

That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
