We’re Praying for You

2 Thessalonians 3:5 We pray that the Lord will cause you to feel God’s love and remember Christ’s patient endurance.

Well, today is your final instalment in the “behind the scenes tour” of this, your daily devotional. And I have something truly special to share with you from God’s Word, because He has a plan to completely, utterly, radically transform your life.

Each morning when I sit down to peck out a message from God’s Word at my computer, I have to tell you that there’s an overflow of joy in my heart at the incredible privilege of sharing the things of Christ with you.

It shouldn’t always be that way because some days my flesh is weak or I’m being buffeted by a strong headwind. But the Holy Spirit always shows up and fills me with such enthusiasm to journey with you in His Word, which is the power to transform your life for the glory of Christ. So, here at Christianityworks …

2 Thessalonians 3:5 We pray that the Lord will cause you to feel God’s love and remember Christ’s patient endurance.

God wants you to experience firsthand His steadfast love for you, and to live your life in the same patient endurance with which Jesus lived and died for you. That takes power. It takes the Presence of His Spirit in you. It takes the powerful, life-changing truth of the Bible to be written on your heart.

That’s why we don’t just do all the stuff that needs doing to produce each devotional and get it out. But …

We pray that the Lord will cause you to feel God’s love and remember Christ’s patient endurance.

So can I encourage you to open your heart to God’s Word – even if some days He has difficult things to say – because He means to completely transform your life.

That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
