Where Will You Spend Eternity?
Romans 10:11-13 Yes, the Scriptures say, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed." It says this because there is no difference between those who are Jews and those who are not. The same Lord is the Lord of all people. And he richly blesses everyone who looks to him for help. Yes, "everyone who trusts in the Lord God will be saved."
When you stand before the throne of judgement on that day that will surely come, will you be pardoned, or condemned? Will you spend the rest of eternity in God’s Presence, or separated from Him in that place of torment called hell?
I know it’s a confronting question, but it’s one that I’m bound to ask, because the way in which you answer it is a pretty clear indicator of where your eternal future lies.
So come on, how certain are you of your eternal destiny? Me? I’m one hundred percent certain. I know that I know that I know that I know, that I will be pardoned for all my sin and spend the rest of my eternity in the very Presence of God Himself. Worshipping Him, praising Him, rejoicing in Him, forever and a day.
Am I that certain because I’ve obeyed all the rules, because I’m living the perfect life? Oh no! Not a day goes by when I don’t fall short of the glory of God.
The reason I’m so certain, is that I trust completely that what Jesus did on that Cross for me, is more than sufficient to pay the price for each and every sin of mine. Past. Present. Future.
Yes, the Scriptures say, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed.” It says this because there is no difference between those who are Jews and those who are not. The same Lord is the Lord of all people. And he richly blesses everyone who looks to him for help. Yes, “everyone who trusts in the Lord God will be saved.” (Romans 10:11-13)
The reason I’m so certain is that my Bible tells me so. And that Bible, it isn’t some boring, dry, old rule book. It’s the living Word of God … of the living God. It’s God speaking directly to you and me.
It’s normal to have doubts along the way. Sure it is. Like that scary feeling of falling that you get sometimes, when you’re heading off to sleep, that jolts you awake again.
That’s entirely normal. So just in case you’ve been having some nagging doubts again, God has something to say to you today. Here it is again:
Anyone who trusts in him will never be disappointed. And everyone who trusts in the Lord God will be saved.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
