You Are Mine
Isaiah 43:1-3 Jacob, the LORD created you. Israel, he made you, and now he says, “Don’t be afraid. I saved you. I named you. You are mine. When you have troubles, I am with you. When you cross rivers, you will not be hurt. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not hurt you. That’s because I, the LORD, am your God. I, the Holy One of Israel, am your Saviour.
One of the most common symptoms that we all experience during those difficult patches in life is a sense of separation from God, almost as though He’s cut us adrift, almost as though He’s forgotten us.
When you think about it, when you’re hurting in some way, that sense of separation from God is only natural. Pain has a way of isolating us emotionally from those around us, and indeed spiritually from the One who can save us.
So, if you’ve ever experienced that sense of distance from God, know that you’re not alone. I certainly have, as has anyone who’s been walking the faith walk for any length of time. So, what’s the answer? How can you deal with the walls that your fragile emotional state throws up so seemingly effectively to isolate you, to make you feel all alone?
The answer is to allow God to speak into that lonely place. The answer is to believe what He has to say over what your emotions may be screaming at you.
The truth is that God never left you in the first place. The truth is that He’s right there with you, because He is the Lord your God. He is your Saviour. That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.

I whole heartily agree. But most of the time it’s we that separate from God like Isreal did over and over again. ...
