Blessed Beyond Measure

1 Corinthians 1:4,5 I always thank my God for you because of the grace that he has given you through Christ Jesus. In him you have been blessed in every way. You have been blessed in all your speaking and all your knowledge.

What are the blessings that you’re hoping will come your way soon from the hand of God? What have you been asking Him for? What’s right up there at the top of your list, hmm?

We all have something … and often it aches so deeply that we couldn’t possibly share it with anyone but God Himself. Whatever that thing is for you, that’s what we’re going to chat about today.

1 Corinthians 1:4,5 I always thank my God for you because of the grace that he has given you through Christ Jesus. In him you have been blessed in every way. You have been blessed in all your speaking and all your knowledge.

As you yearn for that one thing it’s so easy to forget that, according to God’s Word, you’ve already been blessed in every way. And that’s the truth. A.W. Tozer puts it like this:

“Sometimes I go to God and say, ‘God, if you never answer another prayer while I live on this earth, I will still worship You as long as I live and in the ages to come for what you have already done.’ God has already put me so far in debt that if I were to live one million millennia, I couldn’t pay Him for what He’s done for me.” Tozer goes on to say …

“God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which he must work. Only to know this is to quiet our spirits and relax our nerves … Perhaps it takes a purer faith to praise God for unrealised blessing than for those we have already received.”

Friend, you are mightily blessed. Rest easy as you wait for the rest.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
