God’s Fingerprints
Hebrews 11:3 Faith helps us understand that God created the whole world by his command. This means that the things we see were made by something that cannot be seen.
Have you ever thought to yourself, as the busyness of all that your life entails seems to consume you, that there must be something more? Surely this isn’t all that life is. Surely there is something more.
Let me ask you something … if your car could travel at the speed of light, would your headlights still work? Good question. I loved studying physics whether it was astronomy, looking out across the universe, or quantum mechanics, trying to understand the atom.
And the thing that amazed me was how much of what we think we know, remains in a very real sense little more than unproven, scientific theories.
From an infinite universe that we can only see in part, to an invisible electron that we assume exists, the universe is indeed a remarkable place. And yet somehow, people pretend as though it’s an accident.
Or we can reach out and ask, “Is it true? God, did you really create this all for me? Jesus, did you really love me so much that you’d die for me on a cross? Father, is your plan for me really eternal life?”
Personally, I can’t help it. When I look up at the Milky Way, or at the incredibly gifted people around me, or even for that matter, at my pet dog for goodness sake … I just can’t help it.
God’s fingerprints are all over everything.
There is so much more to life than that which we can see, that which we think we know. Maybe that’s why so many people wander through life with a nagging sense that there must be something more.
Hebrews 11:3 Faith helps us understand that God created the whole world by his command. This means that the things we see were made by something that cannot be seen.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

If we told the mountain to move and we believed the mountain would move through Christ our Lord and Saviour.
