God’s Modus Operandi (1)

John 3:16-17 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.

There are two types of people in this world – those who talk about doing things and those who get them done; those who promise to help and those who actually help; those who say all the right words, and those who actually show up.

I don’t think there’s any more powerful way of telling a person how deeply you care for them than actually being there with them when they need you; physically being in their presence to be that shoulder to cry on, that ear to listen, that hand to help … wouldn’t you agree?

Being there speaks love into that person’s life in the clearest, most unmistakable, most powerful way.

Which, quite obviously, is why God sending His Son Jesus into this world in flesh and blood and then allowing Him to die on that cross to pay for our … (well, let’s call them for what they are here) … sins, is the most powerful statement of love in all of human history.

John 3:16-17 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.

Friend, this Jesus came for you – to be with you, to suffer for you, to die for you, to rise again to give you a new life, an eternal life. Sending His love in flesh and blood is God’s modus operandi. It always has been. It always will be.

That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
