God’s Modus Operandi (2)
John 20:21 Then Jesus said again, “Peace be with you. It was the Father who sent me, and I am now sending you in the same way.”

Might I ask you, what’s your mission in life? What are you meant to be doing so that at the end of the day it’ll have been a life of purpose and impact, a life not wasted?
I simply cannot think of a worse outcome than getting to the end and realising that you’d wasted your life; squandered the opportunities set before you to have an impact. Can you just imagine?
Yesterday we saw that God sent His Son, Jesus, into this world as a man, in flesh and blood, to save us from ourselves, from our sin, from the ruin and destruction that we’ve brought on ourselves.
John 3:16-17 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty, but to save the world through him.
But the story goes on because, for those of us who’ve accepted Jesus for who He is and for what He’s done for us out of His great love, that baton’s now been passed from Jesus … to us.
John 20:21 Then Jesus said again, “Peace be with you. It was the Father who sent me, and I am now sending you in the same way.”
God is a God who sends. In fact, sending His love in flesh and blood is His modus operandi. That’s where you and I come in. The love we’ve received from Jesus is a love that we’re now called to share with the world.
That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
