Life is So Unfair

Ephesians 2:8,9 I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about.

I’m not sure whether you’ve ever thought about it this way, but this whole grace thing … is incredibly unfair. It’s unjust. Jesus, the innocent man, died to pay the price of my sin and yours. If that isn’t unfair, I don’t know what is!

Sometimes life just doesn’t seem fair, does it? Someone does something wrong, and somehow that causes us to miss out on something we really wanted … and that is just so unfair!

It happens right throughout life, doesn’t it? Things are unfair sometimes and we absolutely hate it when we’re on the wrong end of that. We hate injustice. It’s just not right. It shouldn’t be that way.

So imagine for a minute that you’re God. Of course, you’re heavily into justice because that’s just who God is. Right is right and wrong is wrong. But then you look at the likes of you and me, and you see a couple of people who you really love.

Your sense of justice says, “They’ve rejected me. They don’t deserve eternal life.” But your Father’s heart says, “I love them so much. I want them to spend eternity with me.”

That’s God’s dilemma … so what does He do?

Well, He does something completely unfair. He sends His Son Jesus to die for the likes of you and me to pay the price of our rebellion, our rejection of Him … our sin. And when you and I just believe in Jesus – that’s all it takes – He opens the doors of heaven for us.

That is so unfair. God calls it grace.

Ephesians 2:8,9 … you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

I just pray that that desire in our hearts to tell others of the great news of Jesus Christ Son Of God will never end until we Die believing in this great truth ! Brings so much needed comfort and reassurance in times of illness, pain and death . To know that if we truly believe this In His Word , we will meet with our loved ones again , on that day which we cannot escape ! Amen 🙏
