My Prayer to You

Romans 15:13 I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Call me crazy (and some people do!) but I love to pray for you and all the people who receive this FRESH devotional every day.

Each day, countless people around the world will either watch the video devotional on television or online, listen to the devotional on radio, or read it in printed or electronic form.

For me it’s an incredible privilege to share the Word of God with you as I feel led each day by the Holy Spirit. And the reason that I and our amazing team do what we do, is to help you receive God’s Word into your heart each and every day.

Because there is such incredible power in the Word of God; power to set us free, to overcome sin and temptation, to sacrifice and suffer as we follow Jesus. That’s why I am constantly and consistently praying for each person who watches, listens to or receives this FRESH devotional every day.

And the most powerful sort of prayer, is prayer that’s based on the very Word of God; where we join hands with Him, to see His will done on this earth. And when I pray through God’s Word for you, I know that I’m asking for His will to be done in your life.

So … this is what I pray:

I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace as you trust in him. Then you will have more and more hope, and it will flow out of you by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)

My prayer for you is that you will be filled to overflowing with joy and peace as each day, through His Spirit and His Word, you learn to trust God more and more. In fact, my prayer for you is that you will have so much peace, so much joy, so much hope in you, that you simply won’t be able to contain it.

That absolutely involuntarily, without you even thinking about it, by the power of the Holy Spirit the joy, peace, hope and power of God in you would overflow like a flood tide of blessing out of you, into the dry, parched and desperate lives of the people around you.

Joy, peace, hope and power in abundance. That’s my prayer for you.

And that’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
