Power to Change

1 Corinthians 13:4-6 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, and it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not selfish, and it cannot be made angry easily. Love does not remember wrongs done against it. Love is never happy when others do wrong, but it is always happy with the truth.

It’s easy to look at what’s going on around the world and come away thinking “What a mess!” And that’s even true in our own little patch sometimes. But there is a force – the most powerful force in the universe – capable of changing all that. A force that you have access to.

I was thinking the other day, what’s the most powerful force in the universe?

Is it an army or an armada? No. Nations have been fighting wars for as long as we can remember and what have they achieved?

The atomic bomb perhaps. Nope, the forces of nature dwarf that. Perhaps it’s the sun which, every second, pumps out as much energy as a billion nuclear power plants could produce in a year.

Then of course, there’s the big bang? I mean it’s only a theory but it must have been a BIG bang to create a trillion, trillion stars.

No, the most powerful force in the universe is something you can’t see, touch, smell, buy, sell or own. The most powerful force in the universe isn’t found in nature, biology, physics, chemistry, astronomy or quantum mechanics. The most powerful force in the universe has nothing to do with e=mc2.

The most powerful force in the universe, the only force that brings lasting change is love.

Imagine if that sort of love broke out across the planet. Imagine if that sort of love broke out through you, in your little corner of the world.

Love. It’s the most powerful force in the universe, because God is love.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.

force just begets more force…a change in thinking is what matters and the only way to influence others is through example. There are millions of souls working on earth to do that right now. Freedom means everything to me. Peace and God’s love will win, for if we lose this battle we lose forever. Since forever doesn’t really exist, we would cease to exist.
