Trust in the Lord
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (ESV)

Courage in the face of fear ain’t easy. In fact courage, basically, is doing what you have to do in spite of the fear. But it becomes a whole lot easier, when you have confidence. Question is, where do you get that from?
When we’re faced with challenging circumstances as we often are in life, what we really want, is to run and hide; to avoid the situation altogether. But you can only do that for so long. Eventually, you have to face up to things. Eventually, you have to deal with them.
So there you are, you stump up, and what makes it even worse is that sense of inferiority and inadequacy. You’re thinking to yourself, “Why can’t I handle this? Where’s my confidence? Other people don’t feel like this. They just get on with things.”
Well, let me tell you absolutely, other people feel the same. And the mistake we all make, is trying to dig deep to find the confidence within, only discover that we’re running on empty.
So why don’t you and I together, set about correcting that mistake today by listening to God, by taking Him at His Word?
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (ESV)
Our mistake? To lean on our own abilities. The correction? To trust in God with all your heart all the while doing right, doing good, honouring Him … and He will straighten things out. How do we know that? Because …
That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.
