Even More Glory

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. (AMP)

The glory of God is something that fills the heavens. Look around – look up at the stars, look at the amazing world that God has created. There’s glory all around … and God wants you to have more of it.

Yesterday we chatted about the glory of God that was revealed to us when Jesus became a man.

John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (ESV)

And still today, God wants that glory, His glory, to impact our lives, yours and mine. Still, God wants to shine the stupendous majesty of who He is, into your heart and into mine. I don’t ordinarily use the Amplified Version of the Bible, but today, I think it tells the story best of all:

2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. (AMP)

The more we gaze upon Jesus, the more we drink in His glory, the more we’re transformed by Him, through His Spirit, from one degree of glory to the next. The more His grace and truth fill our hearts. The more that, day by day, our confidence in Him grows, our hearts are filled with His joy, our will yearns to obey and to honour Him. The more His peace reigns in our lives.

Jesus – gaze upon Him, know Him, draw close to Him … and let Him transform you from one degree of glory to even more glory, so that you end up looking more and more like Him. Jesus.

That’s God’s Word. Fresh … for you … today.
