God is Still at Work

Philippians 1:6 I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again.

Whenever you set off on a journey – you know, one of those good journeys – eating healthy, losing weight, dealing with something in your life that you know needs dealing with – there’s a risk that at some point you end up going off the rails.

There’s many a Christian today whose walk with Jesus has gone “off the rails” too. Sure, you had the best of intentions, but somehow you’re praying a lot less, reading your Bible a lot less, thinking about God a lot less, blessing others with His love a lot less these days than perhaps a year ago, or five years ago, or even longer.

If perhaps you find yourself in that place just at the moment … maybe, just maybe, that’s why God has brought us together today. Maybe, just maybe, there’s something that He wants to speak from His great and mighty heart into yours today.

Philippians 1:6 I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again.

Listen, God ain’t done with you yet! You gave your life to Him way back then because He called you, He touched you, He opened Himself up to you. It was His choice … and He is not in the business of abandoning you. And if you feel Him calling you back today, answer that call. Spend some time praying. And yes, by all means, ask Him for forgiveness.

Okay, perhaps your walk with Jesus has gone off the rails. Perhaps you regret that and feel guilty about that. But listen, Jesus died for you to pay for your guilt. That’s why …

I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again.

That’s His Word. Fresh … for you … today.

You know you hear a lot of people who can tell you that they have faith in God, but not one of them can testify whether or not God have faith in them to carry out God will. This is a fact that seems we all take for granted because we are more concerned what we want God to do for Us that we don’t blink an eye to even hear what God want us to do to for fill God will. In the next few month we need to see what we can do to move mountains for the will of God.
